    TREATING YOURSELF AS A LUXURY

It’s important to treat yourself as a luxury. We all have our favorite material item that we treat well at all times. That’s how you should view and treat yourself. I can’t remember who this quote is from, but it goes along the lines of “Tiffany doesn’t change its price every time someone who can’t afford walks by.” This is one of my favorite quotes because it reminds me of how valuable life is and that we are the gatekeepers to our life. How you treat yourself is often how other people view and treat you.

    Look your best

What makes something a luxury is that it is beautiful and valuable. As a woman, one of the most valuable things we have is our beauty. Women are the most beautiful creatures on earth, and you should feel like that 24/7. Because of that, it’s important to get pretty every day. Taking a shower, moisturizing my body, applying makeup, and picking out an outfit is one of my favorite things to do. Not only is it a form of self-care, but you also feel your best throughout the day.

    Feed yourself the good stuff

We don’t treat our luxuries like trash, so don’t do it to your body. Your body is a paradise that you should view as beautiful and always working to keep it healthy. While the outside matters to keep your body healthy and beautiful what you consume is extremely important. I’m talking about food, drinks, drugs, social media, etc.

    • Food: Eating clean and drinking water will do the body wonders. If you don’t already have a clean diet make small changes that will help you reach your goals over time.
    • Liquids: Liquids include anything that is not water. Although some drinks such as coconut water are healthy, it’s important to check the nutrition facts and make sure you’re not drinking a bottle of sugar and other gunk. Alcohol, soda, and juice have both physical and mental impacts on your health.
    • Drugs: Self-explanatory. Drugs affect you, physically and mentally.
    • Social media and TV: What we see on social media and TV have a huge impact on our well-being. If what you’re seeing is making you sad you can mute, block or unfollow that page. Taking social media breaks are extremely helpful. During that time, you can focus on yourself, goals and nurturing your relationships in real life.

    Be selfish

Be selfish with your time, conversation, and body. Surround yourself with people who see your value. Not everyone and everything should have access to you. That’s one thing that makes something a luxury is that not everyone can have it. Don’t let people waste your time or disrespect you. Women can get pregnant men can’t so don’t play with your womb. Only allow men who have earned your body access to it. I wouldn’t sleep with a man unless I am given commitment and I know he can take care of me. Don’t sleep with broke or cheap men!

    Be sweet

You attract more flies with honey than with vinegar. A luxury is something nice. Be sweet and kind to yourself and also other people. Being loud, inconsiderate, and rude will keep people away from you. Wouldn’t you much rather be sweet and gathering all the good life has to offer? Being pretty and sweet can get you small or big things. Small things include compliments, free items, food, opened doors, people treating you nicer, etc. If you’re lucky you can get bigger items such as jobs, cars, or condos. Be able to balance being pleasant and sweet while also standing up for yourself when necessary.

    Till next time,

    Miss. True Class
